Clinics:
If you are interested in setting up a clinic please contact Jordan for scheduling and pricing. Clinics are offered year round.
It is always amazing to work with you, I always come away with so many tools and exercises to help solidify and progress my relationship with my horses. You are such a gifted instructor and I am so grateful for you!! Thank you Caitlin L Romeo, for the initial introduction to Jordan; it has been a life changer!!
I have had the privilege of Jordan coming down to our barn every other month or so to do clinics for the past year. His lessons always build upon what I am working on with my regular trainer. What I enjoy about the lessons is that my horse or myself always have an “ah ha!” moment in our training and we always get homework to work on until the next clinic. I am very fortunate to have Jordan guiding me and my equine partner to the next levels in our training.

4 years ago this past January I took a little road trip in the bitter cold to the boonies of NW Pennsylvania to ride with an unknown dressage trainer named Jordan LaPlaca. I knew nothing of him other than a friend said he helped her a lot and what I read of him on his website. Our first lesson together began with him watching a bit of warm up....calling me over to say "you have a lovely canter seat, has anyone told you that you don't breathe, and your horse's canter non existent? " (OK then, I thought.) Gee whiz! He then proceeded to have us do plenty of canter work, several different exercises to encourage my then 5 year old mare to sit and lift a bit more, and plenty of work on suppleness. Needless to say I was a wee bit overwhelmed! However, I went back the next day, to prove I could breathe AND have a better canter! And we did! That began my wonderful relationship with Jordan, as trainer and friend.
I scheduled a full clinic with him at my trainer's facility and from that point on he has been a continuous clinician at Three Point Farm. Every lesson he teaches is 100% focused on bettering the horse and rider through classical exercises as well as pushing a rider and horse out of their comfort zone to find new heights in their abilities. Jordan has a wonderful ability to size up a pair and know what will work. Whether it's increasing suppleness through gymnastics, or just quietly giving a nervous or timid rider the tools they need to push on, or pushing an upper level pair over the hump into the realm of FEI, Jordan is there every step, encouraging, supporting, challenging and inspiring us to succeed and improve....And all his riders have done so by leaps and bounds. As for me and my now 9 year old Oldenburg mare? We have earned our Bronze Medal, have earned half our Silver, are debuting PSG at the end of July as well as hoping to qualify for Regionals in both 4th level and PSG! That horrible canter? Is wonderfully uphill, sitting and articulating. There is still a ton of work to do, and Jordan will be there for ALL of his PA students, every step of the way. Cindy Poulson |
